A hot autumn day. A beautiful couple. A beautiful wedding ceremony full of love (big smiles). A wonderful feast with some hilarious toasts and a few happy tears. A wedding reception fullof music, dancing and good times. I think it is safe to say that Chrissa & Steve had a wedding day that was all kinds of perfect.

Nicole & Jeff had one of those weddings where at the end of the day you feel like family. They were married in a cute country church in Darling, Alberta and had their photos on Jeff’s family farm. Nicole put so many personal touches on the day – she even “made” her own shoes by covering a pair with blue glitter. I am also pretty sure that Jeff’s brother wins best speech of the summer by toasting Jeff with the largest champagne glass ever.
Here are some of my favorite images from their gorgeous farm wedding:

* As a photographer, understanding color and color theory is a handy way to help you choose locations and polish your post processing skills. I am loving The Color Series by A Quick Study. As a photographer, I found this post on Hue, Saturations & Brightness a fantastic reminder to play with those sliders more in Lightroom.
* My amazing friend, and ninja second shooter, Chelsey had a baby 4 monthes ago. Benton is the happiest baby I have ever met. He smiles even when is crying. His cuteness will melt your heart and make you say “awwww”. So head over to Chelsey’s blog and leave her some warm and fuzzie blog love to say congratulations on the latest addition to the Rice family!

Jacqueline and Elias have a mutual appreciation for sarcasm and teasing. They met when Jacqueline asked Elias why he got “Christmas” braces when she met him at a party. It is a bold move for a girl to open with teasing, but it worked. Jacqueline & Elias have been together for a year. Elias recently graduated from the University of Alberta, so they decided to come hang out with me in downtown Edmonton for a few photos before he heads off to Quebec for a bit.
